LIVERPOOL DISMANTLE THE GUNNERS.

The Humiliating defeat that was encountered today, 29th December, 2018 by Arsenalbcame as a shock to almost every football fanatic. Liverpool beaten Arsenal by that margin is no news but looking at the current form of the Gunners, one would have thought that,
Arsenals should have had a competitive game with Liverpool.

Arsenal registered the first goal of the game by Maitland Niles assisted by the Nigerian international Alex Iwobi at the eleventh(11th) minutes. Arsenal fans joyously celebrated the goal thinking that the game could continue in that order.
However, the trend of the skewed to the favour of Liverpool.

Liverpool equalized the goal at the 14th minutes by Firmino and it followed in a sequential order. Firmino registered a hatrick, Sadio Mane and Mo Salah also scored goals. The ended in 5:1.

KOTOKO ARE DETERMINED TO BEAT KARIABANGI SHARKS.

"Kum apem a apem bɛba."

Over the last 8 months, Ghana football has been put to a halt following the Anas Aremeyaw Anas' number 12 exposé. One would have thought that, the Normalization Committee would have expedite their activities to reshape Ghana football.
What have actually been their inputs? Can the Committee really bring something better on board? These questions have been asked severally by a lot of Ghanaian football fanatics.

Ghanaians doubted Kotoko's preparedness to represent Ghana in the CAF Confederation Cup for reasons best known to them. "Kotoko is not ready for CAF Confederation Cup." This became the talk of many football fans, most especially those who do not support the team in any way.

The Management Board of the team stood on their grounds and fought for their right. The really fought a battle and won.

WHAT AT ALL CAN THEY DO??

The above question became the lyrics that was found in the songs of many Ghanaians. As to whether the team can do something or not, it is a matter of time.

The team prepared thoroughly and played their first game with a Kenyan side KARIANBANGYI SHARKS on Saturday, 15th December,2018 which had already beaten a Djiboutian side SOLAR ART (agg: 9:1). Asante Kotoko put up a spectacular performance and managed to win a point from that match.
The outcome of the game had really boosted the morale of the playing body viz a viz the Management team. The players are mentally, emotionally, financially, spiritually and physically determined to beat the Kenyan side on Saturday.

CAN THE GATE FEES AFFECT THE TURN OUT?

Arguably, the major factor that inhibits a chunk number of supporters showing in a stadium during a football match is the gate fares.

The zeal for Ghanaians to support and follow local football  has totally diminished. One would have thought that, Management of Kotoko should have had a second look at the gate fees and make it quite affordable to all.  I strongly believe that, this would drive away a lot of football fans from going to the stadium to watch the Match.

However, the dire hard supporters of the team will overlook the gate fare and still show up in their numbers to cheer the boys up.

The possible scoreline of the match would be 2:0 in favour of the home team.

THE AMANKUMA FESTIVAL.

THE AMANKUMA FESTIVAL.
Adansimediagh.blogspot.com
Festivals are  occasions where a group of people who share common values and beliefs come together to celebrate and remember the past.
There are various Traditional festivals in Ghana. Some of these festivals are Aboakyir,Akwambo,Homoowo, Hogbetsotso, Kundum,Odwira,Damba, Kotoklo etc.

The Amankuma festival is one of the traditional festivals in Ghana. It is celebrated by the people of 'Apinto(Awudua)' a suburb of Tarkwa in the Western Region of Ghana. The Apinto Traditional Council are the custodians of the Tarkwa stool lands. These people are very rich and powerful.

This year's celebration starts from 10th to 16th December on the theme: "The Ban on Small Scale Mining: Our Socio-Economic Heritage and the Way Forward".
The launch was held at Tarkwa in the Tarkwa-Nsuaem Municipality of the Western Region.

Festivals and Durbars in Ghana are very colourful and vibrant part of the culture, and these are held in various parts of the country every year to celebrate the heritage and culture of the people.

Celebration of Festivals are also very important historically, and it has a greater impact on a country's socio-economic development. The people of Wassa in the Apinto Divisional Council cannot be left out when it comes to the celebration of festivals in Ghana.

HISTORIC BACKGROUND:

Apinto Divisional Council celebrate Amankuma Festival. The festival has historical background with it's people in the 17th century. History has it that, the people of Apinto from Awudua Dada (Old Awudua) had a crocodile god living together with them.

The crocodile according to history paid a regular visits to the people and whenever they are faced with challenges the crocodile would provide them with support in a form of vomiting gold to them. The people in Awudua has an enblem of crocodile which is an indicative of Amankuma. The crocodile normally provides the people the of Apinto with ease them from suffering.
In honouring the crocodile, the chiefs, elders and people of Apinto of Awudua made it a custom to visit the crocodile regularly and celebrate it supports. By doing these, the Crocodile gets satisfied and it's able to provide the people with their needs.

They have a belief that the crocodile supported them in difficult times during the migration from 'Awudua Dada' to the current place and so they owe it a duty to celebrate the crocodile god.

REALITY OF LIFE

THE REALITY OF LIFE:

1) Life is not all about money. Money is very good but it's not everything. Do not be deceived by the desire for money; for the root of all evil is money. Be submissive and committed to whatever you do and you will definitely be blessed. We should not allow ourselves to be controlled by MONEY; for money is not everything.

2) Prosperity comes from above. You can find any foul or dubious means to be affluent but at the end it will vanish. Blessings are of the Lord. Anyone who seeks refuge in the Lord and waits patiently upon the Lord enjoys the blessings thereof.

3) It does not matter how strong the storms may be, it shall surely be calmed down when the Lord speaks. Wait patiently for the Lord and you blessings shall surely be granted at the appointed time.

4) You may be despised by your family or friends for the sake of righteousness. You may be persecuted because of your  chaste life. When these things happen, do not give up; for the Glorious Father is always in control.

5) He who has no Christ is blind in disguise. You may  be considered as the richest and the most *respected your community; if you have no Christ, you have nothing. He who takes consolation in material things is like a farmer who cultivates  on rocks; he harvests nothing at the end.

6) There is more power in the name *JESUS CHRIST.* At the mention of the name CHRIST, every knee bows and every tongue confesses. (Ref: David vs Goliath). David had Dominion over Goliath through the name JESUS.

7) The Omnipotence of God can never be underestimated. In fact, we serve a LIVING GOD; a more powerful God whose Kingdom is indescribable.

8) All things being equal, the Key catalysts to a fruitful life are;
       a) Humility
      b) Honesty
     c) Hard work
    d) Commitment
    e) Self-Discipline
    f)  Chastity

9) You reap what you sow. This principle is very applicable in all facets of life. Do unto others as you want others to do unto you.

*Think wisely, act wisely and the Lord will surely bless you.*

Thanks for your time. May the Good Lord bless you as you adhere to the WORDS above.

Have a blissful week.

"WE NEED OUR MONEY"- EX AGA WORKERS IN OBUASI.

Anglo Gold Ashanti is one of the reputable mining companies in the country. Their contribution towards the development of Ghana cannot be underestimated.

In the year 2014, the company faced some Economic hardship so it had to devise a management strategy that could reduce the size of the workers in the company. Majority of the workers at the operational level were mainly affected and became redundant; they were unexpectedly asked to go home with little or no  financial compensation. These workers had no option than to adhere to the decision thinking that, there would be some compensation packages there after.

Four(4) years down the line, the workers have not yet receive their compensation packages. The delay of the payment has really affected the lives of these Ex-workers. Some have had to sell their properties to make ends meet.

Adansi Media had an interview with one of the affected Ex-workers and he said it emphatically that," the Management keep on promising us about the payment of the money. Some of us have been affected in diverse ways,we have tried our possible best to get our Money but it is to no avail. All the media houses in Obuasi have kept mute on this matter and we do not have anyone to come to our aid."

We( Adansi Media) are not here to undermine the integrity of the company. We highly respect and hold Anglo Gold Ashanti to high esteem. The reason behind this is to showcase the plights and ordeals of our people to the world.

We strongly believe that, if these people deserve to be paid, the Company should be agile in their administration of the payment.
Thank you.

NDC-NPP; THE MAJOR CAUSE OF GHANA'S PROBLEMS.

The problems of every country are well  defined by its citizens. "The black man is capable of managing his own resources."- Dr.Kwame Nkrumah. Is this statement factually true??

Whether the above statement is true or not, I am not in the right position to decide. It's subject to debate. Ghana is a blessed nation. Indeed Ghana is a blessed nation. It does not matter how blessed a nation is , if its citizens do not make good use of the blessing, it rather turns into a curse;  Mother Ghana is an epitome of the above illustration.

Our nation is blessed with numerous natural resources such as Gold, diamond, bauxite, manganese, timber,Cocoa, Oil, etc. but the country is still wallowing in an abject penury. The big question is, na who cause am? The blame cannot be shifted on a single person at the moment simply because we all fall victim to the cause; We are the cause of our own problems. An average Ghanaian is corrupt, selfish, unpatriotic, lazy, spendthrift and wicked. We don't think about our nation when taken an action that would in the end, cost the nation wilfully.

THE MAIN CAUSE OF OUR DOWNFALL AS A NATION:

Over Partisan politicization of pertinent issues in this country has been the main problem in our Democratic dispensation and it will take so many years for this to go into extinction. Undeniably, this has adversely affected our nation in diverse ways. The mentality that, if not NDC; it's NPP  and vice versa, is the main cause of our problem.

FROM THE YEAR 2000-2020; THE JOURNEY SO FAR:

Prior to the year 2000 general elections, Ghanaians were complaining bitterly about the then Government (NDC party were in government) led by H.E J.J Rawlings.
Majority of Ghanaians were sick and tired of the then government and had wanted the government to be voted out. In view of that, Ex-President John Evans Attah-Mills (Vice President before the elections) who was flagbearer for the NDC, lost to President Agyekum Kuffour.

Kuffour was sworn-in as the  President on 7th January, 2001 by the then Chief Justice; Justice Georgina Woods. In fact, a lot of Ghanaians were very much happy with his style of governance during his first 4 years and so he started receiving series of accolades and prominent amongst them was the 'Gentle-Giant' mantra. Many People thought Kuffour could lead Ghana to the promising land because they initially fell in love with his governance. He introduced series of social intervention policies such school feeding program, free maternity care, Mutual Health Insurance, Metro Mass Transit etc.

On 7th December, 2004, Ghanaians once again went to the polls and then again voted Kuffour to retain power as the President of the state. They reposted the confidence they had in the first four years in him, thinking that he would continue with the same style of governance. He tried his possible best to get on track and Ghanaians started nagging. They complaints were so much so that, they lost confidence in him and decided to vote out his political party which was in government after another 4 years.

Ghanaians, thought it wise to vote the then first biggest opposition party (National Democratic Congress)  lef by John Evans Mills, which had been in government before.  'Sankofa' which literary means, 'go and take it again' became the mantra. Ghanaians went to the polls on 7th December, 2008 and eventually Prof. Evans Attah-Mills won the elections. President Attah-Mills (may his soul rest in peace) started on a good note and along the way here comes another nagging from Ghanaians.

Unfortunately, the then president couldn't exhaust his four years and  met his untimely death on 24th July, 2012. The then Vice-president, John Dramani Mahama as lucky as he could be  immediately became the president of the land in order o fulfill the constitution requirement. Ghanaians had no other choice than to succumb to his style of governance simply because, he had had a lot experience as far as democracy and governance are concern.

Lo and behold, Ghanaians began to complain about his style of governance even though he tried his possible to do what he could. H.E John Dramani Mahama spent 4 years as a President on the seat and eventually voted out. He is still seeking to be voted as a flag bearer and lead his party come 2020.

On 7th December,2016, Mahama lost to Akuffo-Addo who had contested for the third time on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party. He has a four-year mandate to prove to Ghanaians that he is the right man for the job. In less than 2 years in power, Ghanaians have already started complaining. When will the complaints end?

WHAT IS THE SOLUTION TO OUR PROBLEMS?

One would clearly deduce that, the solution to our problems does not lie in the bosom of the politicians. The politicians are not ready to help us. Other than that, right from the onset, our problems would have been solved. They have rather ameliorated the problems. We need not to rely on politicians for the solutions of our problems. We simply have to work assiduously as citizens and desist from anything that inhibits our progress.

Our politicians have failed us, our traditional leaders have also disappointed us, our religious leaders are rather worst. Who should we consult in terms of difficulties? Those to consult are even in a state of quagmire. Where else should we go?  Both the NPP and the NDC have had ample time to rule this nation but Ghana is still where it was sometime ago. Fellow Ghanaians, let us rise today and build Ghana for posterity. Indeed, NDC-NPP is the major cause of our problems.

Kind regards,

A COCOA BUYING COMPANY PROVIDES ADANSI-ABOABO II WITH POTABLE WATER SUPPLY.

Adansi Aboabo II is a cocoa growing community in the Adansi Askowa district.  Subsistence Farming is the major occupation  of the inhabitants. The community is considered as one of the prominent communities in the district  but lacks numerous  social amenities  such as good roads,  good drinking water, quality health centre and the likes.

Provision of these amenities  has been the dream and wish of the citizens of the community but no one is currently available to help the community  with these amenities.

Unexpectedly, (Yonkopa) a cocoa buying company came to the scene and have wholeheartedly provided portable  drinking water to the community.  Provision  of this hasn't  solve to water problem in the community  but will at least  help  them in diverse ways. This will add up to to already existing ones in the community.  "We will make sure that all are cocoa produce would be sent to the company(Yonkopa) since they think about us"- A citizen of the community disclosed this to AdansiMedia.

May God richly bless  'Yonkopa' company  and expand its territories.

A 'BIG TREE' HAS FALLEN

When the Creator of Heaven and Earth speaks,  no one can subject Him to interrogations. When a big tree falls, it is difficult for it to be replaced. It is appoint appointed unto a man to  die ones, and after death, there is judgment. Death is however, inevitable.

When the news about the sudden demise of the Member  of Parliament for Ayawaso-west Wuogon was made  known to the public,a lot of Ghanaians  began to ask series of questions; prominent among them are; what was the cause of his death? Was he really sick? These questions are yet to be made known to the public by the deceased family.

This is a big blow to Ghanaians  as well as the NPP fraternity.  Mr.  Kyeremateng Agyarko, the brother of the immediate  past Minister of Energy,  Hon. Boakye Agyarko has been instrumental in developing  Ghanaian  democracy. His contribution  towards  the development  of Ghana cannot be underestimated.

May the good Lord keep him in His bosom and find him a good place to rest.

Agya Pa, nante yie!
Hon. Damirifa due!!
We shall meet again.

Adansi-Aboabo 1 D/A primary pupils  learn in dusty classrooms.

Adansi-Aboabo 1 is one of the communities  in the Adansi-Asokwa district, formerly  Adansi-North District.  The pupils in the D/A primary school study in dusty classrooms and this has been a big blow to the school. The school  Authoritie have no other option than to allow their  pupils learn in the dusty environment.  The current state of the school is an eyesore.

Upon visiting  the school last week,  it was discovered  that,  some pupils are forced to go home and change  their uniforms  after  the second break on daily basis.

In fact,  the  situation  at hand is a big blow to teaching and learning; teachers are forced to change their shoes after every  20minutes when in class.

The Ghanaian Politician.

Ghana is considered  as one of the most peaceful countries in the world.  It's the first country in the sub-Saharan  country to attain independence (6th March,1957), through the able leadership of its first President, Osagyefo Dr.  Kwame Nkrumah and some eminent  Ghanaians.

One would  have thought  that, the today politicians could  have continued with the vision of our forefathers  but the truth of the matter is that,  their vision is far from that of our forefathers.  In recent times,  an average  Ghanaian  politician  can clearly  be described by the following; Corrupt, selfish, dishonest, mean, draconian, unpatriotic etc.

Politics  today,  has become a profession. People  go into to politics to loot the National  purse in order to enrich themselves and their families.  During the era of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah,  Obetsebi Lamptey, Arko Adjei and the likes, commitment  and dedication  were the order of the day.

Almost  98% of the Ghanaian politicians  are corrupt inview  of that,  anyone who decides to deviate from  them, is always sabbotaged. Ghana blessed  with numerous resources but due to our corrupt leaders,  the country  is still wallowing in abject poverty.
