ASANTE KOTOKO SC BEHEAD COTTON SPORTS GAROUA.

Kum apem a apem bɛba is their appellation.

Kumasi Asante Kotoko's performance during the JAK cup match against ASHGOLD was not encouraging. In view of this, many football fanatics were in doubt as to whether the team can do something better against the Cameroonian side, Cotton Sports Garoua in the Total CAF Confederation Cup.

Prior to the actual match,  the captain of the team, Amos Frimpong assured the fans never to lose hope but must  pray for the team for something better on the field of play. The Coach, C.K Akunnor put his tactics in place and his input was incredibly phenomenal.

Felix Annan, Augustine Sefah, Agyemang-Badu, Abdul Ganiyu,Amos Frimpong, Kwame Bonsu(Conte), Fatawu,Senanu, Emmanuel Gyamfi, Maxwell Baakoh and Sogne Yacouba were the starting lineup for Kotoko.

The players put up a scintillating performance on the field of play with a high level of tactical competence. Emmanuel Gyamfi registered the first goal for the team on the 10th minute. This boosted their morale and were able to maintain the pace.  Maxwell Baakoh on the other hand, powerfully added another magnificent goal to the scoreline.

One would have thought that, the Home team, Cotton Sports could come back to equalize and add more goals. Fortunately for Kotoko, another goal was registered in the early part of the second half and the match finally ended 3:2 in favour of ASANTE KOTOKO SPORTING CLUB.

Faaaaaaabulous!
